The 2026 Digital Asset Korea Summit brought together more than 1,500 industry professionals, investors, developers, and policy experts at the COEX Auditorium in Seoul on July 25. Speakers discussed digital asset regulation, blockchain technology, XRP, practical trading strategies, institutional investment, tokenized real-world assets, and the convergence of traditional and digital finance. The event also featured presentations from blockchain projects and emphasized cooperation, trust, and long-term strategies as essential to the sustainable growth of the digital asset ecosystem.


The 2026 Digital Asset Korea Summit, an event examining the present and future of the digital asset industry, successfully concluded on July 25 at the COEX Auditorium in Seoul.

Co-hosted by Blockchain Today and Youth Meta, the summit brought together more than 1,500 digital asset industry professionals and community members, including traders, developers, investors, and policy and legal experts. Held at a time when the institutionalization of the industry is rapidly progressing through measures such as the implementation of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act and discussions surrounding a proposed Digital Asset Basic Act, the event provided participants with an opportunity to share insights into policy and regulatory trends, developments in global financial markets, practical investment strategies, and the technologies and services of blockchain projects. Attendees also explored the future direction of the industry.


1. Summit Opens with Congratulatory Remarks and an Opening Address

The event began with video messages from former National Assembly member Kim Hyung-joo and National Assembly member Min Byung-deok. In his congratulatory remarks, Min, who has played a leading role in digital asset-related legislation at the National Assembly, shared his views on the institutionalization of the rapidly evolving digital asset industry and the future direction of policy development.

Jung Joo-pil, CEO of Blockchain Today, then delivered the opening address, explaining the purpose of the summit and emphasizing the importance of cooperation for the sustainable development of the digital asset industry.


2. Park Sung-joon Presents Essential Capabilities for the Digital Asset Era

Park Sung-joon, head of the Blockchain Research Center at Dongguk University, delivered the first keynote presentation under the title, “The Future of the Digital Asset Era: Perspectives and Core Capabilities for Preparing for New Opportunities.”

Park explained that the expansion of Web3 and digital finance is rapidly transforming industrial structures. He outlined the strategic perspectives and essential capabilities that individuals and businesses need in order to adapt to the new environment. He particularly highlighted the changes emerging from the convergence of blockchain technology and the digital finance ecosystem, stressing that it is important to understand not only the technology itself but also broader industry and market trends.


3. Author Moon Chang-hoon Highlights XRP’s Role in Next-Generation Finance

One of the highlights of the morning session was a lecture by Moon Chang-hoon, author of Ripple Big Bang, titled “Next-Generation Finance and the Utility of XRP.”

Moon introduced Ripple’s international remittance network and examples of institutional adoption, explaining the practical utility and potential role of XRP in next-generation financial infrastructure. His analysis of how blockchain-based remittance and payment technologies could be used in global financial markets attracted strong interest from Ripple and XRP investors and community members.


4. Trader Koo Bon-wook Shares Practical Strategies for Individual Investors

After the lunch break, the program continued with sessions focused on practical investment strategies. Professional trader Koo Bon-wook delivered a presentation titled “What If Retail Investors Could Become Market Movers? The Practical 10-Minute Profit Challenge.”

Koo introduced key indicators and market approaches that individual investors should consider when navigating the highly volatile digital asset market. Moving beyond theoretical market analysis, he also shared trading strategies that could be applied in real investment situations and emphasized the importance of risk management.


5. Steve Young Kim Discusses the Convergence of Traditional and Digital Finance

During the global session, Steve Young Kim, Director of Business Development for APAC at Binance, gave a presentation titled “At the Intersection of Traditional Finance and Emerging Financial Technologies.”

Kim introduced global trends showing the accelerating convergence of traditional finance and digital finance. He also examined major developments in the digital asset industry, including the growing participation of institutional investors following the introduction of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, security token offerings, and the tokenization of real-world assets.

6. Booth Keynote Sessions Introduce Blockchain Technologies and Services

Booth keynote sessions were held between the main presentations, featuring domestic and international blockchain projects such as Vision Chain, Bullbit, D’CENT by IoTrust, Variational, and FUNS TALK.


Representatives from each project introduced their technologies and services, including decentralized trading platforms, hardware wallets, and decentralized derivatives protocols. They also presented future business plans and strategies for expanding their respective ecosystems. At the exhibition booths outside the auditorium, participants met directly with project representatives, exchanged information, and discussed potential investment and partnership opportunities.


7. Youth Meta Executive Choi Moon-chang Presents the Company’s Roadmap

Choi Moon-chang, an executive director at Youth Meta, then took the stage to deliver a presentation titled “The Youth Meta Roadmap.”

Choi introduced the company’s future business direction and phased implementation plans, outlining Youth Meta’s strategy for expanding its services within the digital asset ecosystem.


8. Iron Won Chairman Presents a Vision for the Development of the Digital Asset Ecosystem

During the latter part of the event, the chairman of Iron Won delivered a special lecture sharing his views on changes in the digital asset industry and the future development of the blockchain ecosystem.

He emphasized that trust and cooperation among industry participants and communities, as well as advancements in technology and financial markets, are essential for the sustainable growth of the digital asset ecosystem. He also explained that for digital assets to become widely used in everyday life and across industries, technological progress must be accompanied by a healthy market culture and a long-term perspective.


The organizers stated, “This summit served as a meaningful opportunity to discuss policy, technology, and investment strategies in the rapidly changing digital asset market, while allowing industry participants to explore new opportunities for cooperation.” They added, “We will continue to provide platforms for exchange that support the healthy growth of Korea’s digital asset industry and strengthen its global competitiveness.”
