SEOUL — Seoul Economic TV — The 2026 Digital Asset Korea Summit, one of South Korea’s largest blockchain conferences, will be held on July 25 at the COEX Auditorium in Seoul. Co-hosted by Blockchain Today and Youth Meta, the event is expected to bring together more than 1,500 industry participants, including traders, developers, investors, and policy experts.
The summit is attracting attention as it takes place amid a period of rapid change in the regulatory environment surrounding virtual assets. Following the implementation of the Virtual Asset User Protection Act in July 2024, discussions on a proposed Digital Asset Basic Act are currently underway in the National Assembly. Institutional capital flows have accelerated since the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the United States, while discussions in South Korea concerning won-denominated stablecoins, security token offerings, and the tokenization of real-world assets are also gaining momentum.
The program will be structured around three principal themes: policy, global market developments, and practical investment strategies.
In the policy segment, Min Byung-deok, a lawmaker from the Democratic Party of Korea who has played a leading role in digital asset legislation, will deliver a video congratulatory address alongside former National Assembly member Kim Hyung-joo. Park Sung-joon, Director of the Blockchain Research Center at Dongguk University, will present strategic perspectives on the industry’s transformation under the theme “The Future of the Digital Asset Era.”
During the global session, Steve Young Kim, APAC Business Development Director at Binance, will examine the convergence of traditional and digital finance. His presentation will address major developments at the forefront of the global market, including the growing participation of institutional investors and the expansion of tokenized assets.
In the practical investment segment, author Moon Chang-hoon, a specialist in Ripple and XRP, will speak on “The Utility of XRP,” while professional trader Koo Bon-wook will present hands-on trading strategies for individual investors.
In the exhibition area, domestic and international blockchain projects—including Bullbit, iotrust, Variational, and FUNS TALK—will introduce their technologies and services.
“This event is intended to provide participants with practical strategies for responding to a critical turning point in both regulation and the market,” an event representative said.
Tickets are available through the official website, and attendance is limited exclusively to advance registrants.
The Seoul Economic Daily, founded on August 1, 1960, is South Korea’s first financial newspaper and has grown alongside the nation’s economic development for more than six decades. It played a key role in connecting policymakers, businesses, and the public during the era of rapid industrialization, expanding coverage of markets such as securities and real estate and helping establish modern economic journalism. Under its founding publisher, the late Jang Ki-young, a former Deputy Prime Minister, the paper championed economic growth and hope, later becoming the country’s leading financial daily with a strong international presence, including a U.S. edition. Today, with ventures such as Seoul Economic TV and a fully digitized newspaper archive, it continues to strengthen its role as a trusted economic voice while expanding global networks in the digital era.
